Afonso Santisteban was a well-known Spanish composer of film, TV, and other instrumental music, during the sixties and seventies. On this post, you can hear two of his compositions: the song Llovió, performed by Ellas in 1968, and Nuestro ayer, from the album he made in 1969 with Rafael Ferro, Flamenco Pop.

Sabor a fresa was released by Belter in 1971, and deservedly reissued by the label Vampi Soul in 2009. With lush orchestrations, a lot of dabadaba vocals, some Spanish guitar and flamenco rhythms, and a bit of bossa nova, this is a brilliant, bittersweet, feelgood record — just like a strawberry.
